Oh Those Facets, How They Shine!
If you have imported a huge photo library, you probably didn’t know how much information is in there that can be used to automatically organize your photos. All of the different categories on the left-hand side of the screen give you quick ways to explore things… from where the photos were taken, to when, to who took them (especially, if you have a lot of your family and close friends on board). These facets are powerful glimpses into your life. Have fun discovering! If you ever get lost, just click “Home” and you’re back to the top

A couple of blog posts ago, I said we made our service even faster… well, those engineers are at it again and made it even fasterer. Clicking around on the various facets of your photos is down to less than a second. Actually, our folks measure it in milliseconds, but all you really care about is getting lost in the memories and rediscovering those special moments. Have fun!

Well, actually, it’s not the devil, it’s the beauty of your own photos that make this service what it is… and now we’ve made the display of them even better. Try clicking on one of your images and see it in all it’s glory.

There are some really fun things going on here inside the Smile offices. I’m excited to release our iOS device apps soon. We have ended support for our old iPhone app while we focus in on the next big thing. Stay tuned for some fun
We did an overhaul of the code and design that presents all the different settings in Smile. Nothing earth-shattering, but things should be much clearer and fit in with the designs of the rest of Smile. Let us know what you think!

Professional Photos
We launched a big improvement to our professional photos service and integrated into the overall Smile designs. Now you can quickly find really great photos to add to your screensaver and desktop wallpaper. Our library of over 700 images is grouped into various categories so you find just what you want.
Use the big “Pro” link at the top of Smile to see them. Browse the library, click the image you like to see the it in detail… then use the download icon to either add it to your screensaver or make it your desktop’s wallpaper.
You’ll need one of our Desktop Clients to make use of the screensaver and wallpaper features.
Easy Uploading
In addition to being able to connect with existing image services or sync photos with on of our desktop clients, you can now quickly upload a handful of photos right in the web app. Use the **Add Photos** link at the top of Smile to view the drag-and-drop area. You can drag photos right into the box or just use the “Choose photos to upload” button to browse your hard drive for the photos you want.
Now It’s Even Faster
Our engineers who make this service even possible at all are constantly working to make the experience faster and more fluid. With this release, we have a number of incremental improvements to how various parts of the service show up for you. We hope you’re enjoying seeing all of your photos… our goal is to put you and your memories front-and-center and forget you’re using a web site or tablet. Your images are your world. Enjoy!
