Old Webshots screen saver retired

If your screen saver shows a page saying "Sorry, you have been blocked", your computer is still running a very old version of Webshots. That old version has been retired and can no longer show photos. Your account, saved pictures and playlists are all fine.

Step 1 - Install the current Webshots from here →

Click on the "Windows" or "macOS" blue link and install it. Installing does not remove your saved pictures or playlists. If you already have the current Webshots, go straight to Step 2.

Step 2 on Windows - Reinstall the screen saver

  1. Go to Webshots -> Settings -> Screen Saver and click "Reinstall Screen Saver".
  2. In the dialog that comes up, make sure "Screen saver" shows "Webshots", then click OK.

Step 2 on Mac - Turn off the old screen saver

  1. In the Wallpaper panel of System Settings, click the "Screen Saver..." button and set "Start Screen Saver..." to "Never".
  2. Go to Webshots -> Settings -> Screen Saver.
  3. Under "Show Screen Saver after idle for", select an idle time after which the screen saver will start.

Your Webshots photos will now show as your screen saver again. Still stuck? Email us at [email protected].
